Three hundred years ago, Rifts appeared across the world, connecting Earth to distant planets and unleashing dungeons, monsters, and Kaiju upon humanity. Civilization adapted. Hero Corps rose, academies were built, and warriors learned to wield the power left behind by the creatures threatening their world. But the Kaiju remain a mystery. Where did they come from? What lies beyond the worlds connected by the Rifts? And what other forces exist beyond humanity's understanding? In Tokyo, a new generation enters a prestigious Hero Academy, dreaming of becoming legends. Their journey begins with friendship, rivalry, training, dungeons, and battles. But as they venture beyond what they know, they discover that the world is far larger—and far more dangerous—than they imagined. Somewhere beyond the battles, something is waiting. And when history is finally written, one name will remain. This is the legend of the Cripple.
