Welcome, and thank you for your interest in MyWebTales (“MyWebTales,” “we,” or “us”) and our website at m.mywebtales.com, along with our related mobile applications, networks, and services (collectively, the “Service”). These Terms and Conditions are a legally binding contract between you and MyWebTales regarding your use of the Service.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS CAREFULLY.
BY ACCESSING, USING, OR PURCHASING ANY FEATURES OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING COIN PURCHASES OR MEMBERSHIP PLANS, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS, INCLUDING THE MYWEBTALES PRIVACY POLICY (TOGETHER, THE “TERMS”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you do not have our permission to use the Service.
ARBITRATION NOTICE: These Terms provide that all disputes between you and MyWebTales will be resolved by BINDING ARBITRATION. YOU AGREE TO GIVE UP YOUR RIGHT TO GO TO COURT to assert or defend your rights under this contract, except for matters that may be taken to small claims court. Your rights will be determined by a NEUTRAL ARBITRATOR and NOT a judge or jury, and your claims cannot be brought as a class action. Please review Section 20 (Dispute Resolution and Arbitration) for details.
1. MyWebTales Service Overview
MyWebTales operates an online literature platform providing reading services, literature content generation, and premium content access through coin-based purchases and membership plans. Users can purchase coins to unlock premium content or subscribe to membership plans for additional benefits, such as bonus coins and priority support.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By agreeing to these Terms, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 13 years of age;
- You have not previously been suspended or removed from the Service;
- Your registration and use of the Service comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an entity, organization, or company, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Accounts and Registration
To access most features of the Service, you must register for an account. When registering, you may be required to provide information such as your email address. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and accept responsibility for all activities under your account. If you believe your account is no longer secure, notify us immediately at support@mywebtales.com.
4. Payment Terms
Certain features of the Service, including coin purchases and membership plans, require payment of fees. Before paying, you will have the opportunity to review and accept the fees. All fees are in U.S. Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified (e.g., NGN for Paystack transactions) and are non-refundable.
4.1. Coin Purchases
Coins are a virtual currency used to unlock premium content on the Service. You may purchase coins through one-time transactions or via membership plans that include instant and bonus coins. MyWebTales reserves the right to determine coin pricing and may modify prices at any time on a forward-going basis. Promotional offers may be available to eligible users at our discretion.
4.2. Membership Plans
The Service offers subscription-based membership plans (e.g., monthly, quarterly, yearly) that provide instant coins, periodic bonus coins, and premium benefits. Membership plan fees are billed periodically on the subscription billing date. By purchasing a membership plan, you agree to automatic renewal for successive periods unless you cancel your subscription as described below.
4.3. Authorization
You authorize MyWebTales to charge the payment method specified at purchase (e.g., via Paystack or Paddle) for all sums related to coin purchases or membership plans. Payment processing is handled by third-party services (e.g., Paystack, Paddle, Apple In-App Purchases, Google Play). We may seek pre-authorization of your payment method to verify sufficient funds or credit.
4.4. Subscriptions and Auto-Renewals
Membership plans automatically renew unless canceled. You may cancel your membership plan at any time, and it will expire at the end of the current subscription period. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel before the renewal date. To cancel:
- iOS: Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID > Subscriptions > MyWebTales > Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Go to Google Play Store > Subscriptions > MyWebTales > Cancel Subscription.
- Web (Paystack/Paddle): Contact support@mywebtales.com or manage via your account settings.
4.5. Refunds
All purchases made on WebTales are final once digital items (such as Coins or unlocked chapters) are delivered or accessed. We understand that mistakes can happen, and we will review refund requests for unused digital goods within 14 days of purchase, in compliance with applicable consumer laws. Refunds will not be granted once Coins have been used to unlock content or otherwise consumed within the app. To request a refund for unused purchases, please contact support@mywebtales.com with your transaction ID and account details. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings; access remains active until the end of the paid period.
4.6. Delinquent Accounts
MyWebTales may suspend or terminate access to the Service for accounts with unpaid amounts. Delinquent accounts may incur additional fees, including chargeback or collection costs.
5. Licenses
5.1. Limited License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, MyWebTales grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Service and install one copy of our mobile application on a device you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial use.
5.2. License Restrictions
You may not:
- Reproduce, distribute, or modify the Service;
- Interfere with security features, including disabling access controls;
- Reverse engineer or attempt to access the Service’s source code, except as permitted by law.
6. User Content
6.1. User Content Generally
The Service may allow users to upload content, such as stories, comments, or reviews (“User Content”). You retain any copyright or proprietary rights in your User Content.
6.2. Limited License Grant to MyWebTales
By posting User Content, you grant MyWebTales a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license (with the right to sublicense to affiliates) to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content solely through the Service.
6.3. Limited License Grant to Other Users
By sharing User Content with other users, you grant them a non-exclusive license to access and use it as permitted by the Service’s functionality.
6.4. User Content Representations and Warranties
You are solely responsible for your User Content and warrant that:
- You own or have the necessary rights to your User Content;
- Your User Content does not infringe third-party rights, violate laws, or breach MyWebTales policies.
6.5. User Content Disclaimer
MyWebTales is not obligated to monitor User Content but may remove or block content that violates these Terms or is objectionable. We are not liable for User Content, and you use the Service at your own risk.
7. Digital Millennium Copyright Act
7.1. DMCA Notification

Accounts of users determined to be repeat infringers will be terminated without notice.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for illegal purposes;
- Infringe third-party rights;
- Post unlawful, defamatory, or inappropriate content;
- Interfere with security features or attempt to reverse engineer the Service;
- Engage in fraudulent activities or impersonation;
- Sell or transfer access to the Service.
9. Third-Party Services and Linked Websites
The Service may integrate with third-party services (e.g., Paystack, Paddle, social media). MyWebTales is not responsible for third-party services or linked websites.
10. Termination of Use
You may terminate your account by contacting support@mywebtales.com. MyWebTales may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms or at our discretion. Unpaid fees remain your responsibility.

Your use of the Service is subject to additional policies or rules posted on the Service, incorporated into these Terms.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes require your acceptance; immaterial changes are effective upon posting. Check these Terms periodically.
13. Ownership; Proprietary Rights
The Service and its materials are owned by MyWebTales or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use these materials without express permission.
14. Feedback
By providing feedback, you grant MyWebTales a perpetual, royalty-free right to use it for improving the Service or other purposes.
15. Indemnity
You will indemnify MyWebTales and its affiliates against claims arising from your use of the Service, violations of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.
16. Disclaimers; No Warranties
The Service is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind. MyWebTales does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. You use the Service at your own risk.
17. Limitation of Liability
MyWebTales is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid in the last 12 months or $100, except as provided in Section 20.4(iii).
17A. Refund & Cancellation Policy
WebTales purchases (including coins and memberships) are non-refundable once digital content is accessed or used. Customers may request a refund within 14 days of purchase only if the purchased digital content has not been accessed, in accordance with applicable consumer laws. To request a refund, please contact support@mywebtales.com with your transaction details. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time before renewal; service remains active until the current billing period ends.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Disputes permitted in court will be resolved in courts located in Lagos, Nigeria.
19. General
These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MyWebTales. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. Sections 2, 4, 5, 6–20, and the Privacy Policy survive termination.
20. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
20.1. Generally
Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the Lagos Court of Arbitration (LCA) under its rules. You waive your right to a jury trial or class action.
20.2. Exceptions
You or MyWebTales may pursue small claims, agency enforcement, injunctive relief, or intellectual property claims in court.
20.3. Arbitrator
Arbitration will follow LCA rules, available at www.lagosarbitration.org or by contacting MyWebTales.
20.4. Notice; Process
Send a written notice of dispute to MyWebTales at [Your Address, e.g., 1234 Example St, Lagos, Nigeria] or support@mywebtales.com. If unresolved within 30 days, arbitration may begin. MyWebTales will pay you the greater of the arbitrator’s award, our last settlement offer, or $1,000 if resolved in your favor.
20.5. Fees
MyWebTales will reimburse your filing fee for claims under $10,000. Arbitration will occur in Lagos, Nigeria, or by document/telephone hearing for claims under $10,000.
20.6. No Class Actions
Claims must be brought individually, not as part of a class action.
20.7. Modifications
You may reject changes to this arbitration provision within 30 days, resulting in account termination.
20.8. Enforceability
If Section 20.6 is unenforceable, disputes will be resolved in Lagos, Nigeria courts.

You consent to receiving electronic communications from us, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

23. Notice Regarding Apple
If using our iOS app, these Terms are between you and MyWebTales, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple may refund app purchase prices but has no other warranty obligations. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms.
