Brrrrrrrriiiinnng!!! An alarm clock clarked in the dark and silent room. A woman's voice was heard speaking loudly as she walked into a room :"Jessie shut that thing off and get ready for the interview or you'll be late ". She walked out but realized Jessie made no move in getting out of bed so she returned to her room and being more stern she turned the lights on and said :"The interview is by 9am and this is 8am. If you don't hurry you'll be late and one more thing,your dad and I will be travelling to Abuja to see if we can get a better job and relocate there .we might drop by aunt Becky's too and will be back tomorrow so get ready and get that job ". Bye mom she said. I love you and dad and don't forget to extend my greetings to aunt. She waved to them as they drove out in their old Peugeot car. Jessie was a graduate of a university in kaduna where she based with her parents and had been looking for a job until she saw a vacant post which she was going for. She was a very pretty girl with hazel eyes,an oval face and long blonde hair. She was just 21. As she got home she sat down wondering if she'll really be called back as the manager told her when she heard a knock on the door. "who could that be " she thought aloud. She stepped into her flip flops and went to check who it was . It was her best friend Tiffany. They hadn't seen each other for long. It was a very big surprise to her. They hugged and exchanged pleasantries. Michael a 26 year old muscular,handsome,rich and dissolute young man with brown eyes was walking down from an aeroplane as he had just landed in Abuja after the business meeting .He received a call from his Best pal Zack about the scandal .His brother Henry slept with Gwen the pretty secretary as she was called and it had gone viral . Michael was so furious, his brother was definitely going to ruin the business and fame he had worked for all his life he thought aloud . He got home and complained to his father about all he had been told.He wasn't surprised as Henry was a rascal like person but was shocked to hear Gwen conceded. Henry wasn't even remorseful for what he had done,it was clearly written all over his face that he was being sarcastic as he apologised. Michael became enraged and gave him a hard slap across his face .Henry flared up and told Michael to go get a life and maybe get married at least then he would spare him some lectures. Mr Smith tried calming the situation and also encouraged the idea of Michael getting a wife but Michael wasn't interested. He believed women were only after money after his mom left his dad after he had transferred 19%ownership to her. He walked out in anger while his dad reprimanded Henry. ************ Jessie had been trying her parent's number but it was not going through. Her phone rang while she was engaged in a conversation with her bestie. A lot went through her mind as she answered the call. A man spoke up saying that one Mr Brown was found lying dead in a pool of blood with a woman who is apparently his wife around agete road in Abuja.He told her to come get their corpses. Jessie couldn't believe her ears. Her parents? The same people she last saw yesterday? They were suddenly gone? She tried to talk back but the man had already hung up. She broke into uncontrollable tears . She wept her heart out. Tiffany was shocked at that sudden reaction to a phone call and asked her what was wrong. Jessie spoke in tears about what she was told. Tiffany was hurt too because they were like family to her. she consoled Jessie and told her they were to go over to Abuja. Jessie called aunt Becky and told her about everything and their coming too. They made preparations for their travel. "Oh my God",I'm so exhausted,tiffany said as they arrived in Abuja. Jessie immediately dialed aunt Becky's number to inform her of their arrival. As soon as aunt Becky came to them,they all went together to carry the corpses. Aunt Becky called Jessie aside and told her that she just received a call from the company where her parents worked and they said they were not paying retirement fees to them They only gave her their last salary which was 20,000 naira. Their house back in kaduna will be given out as their rent had expired.Jessie was shattered after hearing all those things. She never thought things would get this worse. She broke into tears again and aunt followed suit.Tiffany approached them and comforted them. She offered to waybill the remaining properties to them in Abuja and live there in other to reduce expenses for them. But Jessie refused the idea likewise aunt. The corpses were buried in a cemetery and they went over to aunt Becky's apartment. They had dinner and all went to bed. ********** Michael fired Gwen the secretary after what happened between her and Henry. He always believed women were opportunists who could do anything to get money they didn't work for.He told his best pal Zack to hold interviews and employ a new secretary then he left. The next morning tiff went back to kaduna to bring back the remaining properties while aunt Becky and Jessie thought of getting a job.As tiff got back to Abuja she was about boarding a taxi when she bumped into a fair and handsome young man. It was Zack,Michael's best pal. He was marvelled at Tiff's beauty and had to talk to them. Tiff shoved him aside and went away. He was already head over heels in love with her.He stalked her until she was half way home. She noticed a shadow following her and turned back but saw no one so she decided to look behind the tree where she saw a shadow. She found out it was the same guy that she bumped into. She got mad and shouted at him. Zack felt remorseful and apologised to her.She calmed down. He introduced himself and expressed his feelings for her. Tiffany only smiled,introduced her self and gave out her contact number to him. Zack wanted to get closer to her so he thought of giving her the post of secretary at Michael's company "Beecroft Estates" but she hesitated. She already owned a boutique and was fine with it so she told Zack about Jessie and her condition. They agreed to meet the next day for the interview. He handed over to her some groceries he got. He persistedly begged her to take them so she did. She thanked him and left. Tiff got home and told aunt and Jessie about her encounter with Zack and how he promised to give Jessie a job at a renowned company in Abuja.She was so grateful and thanked her bestie. The next day tiff prepared Jessie for the interview. She brought her resume and credentials along and they left after bading aunt Goodbye. As they were about entering the company Michael was lost in thought so he unintentionally bumped into Jessie but walked away but Jessie pulled him back and asked him to apologise but he scoffed and walked away. Tiffany and Jessie was shocked at the rudeness he displayed. What a rude customer Jessie thought aloud. Michael muttered to himself :"What a silly lady,If she worked under me I would teach her a lesson or two ". As tiffany led Jessica to the office but there were lots of things running through her mind. Was Zack really going to give Jessie the job? Was he just....... Tiffany!! Jessie called bringing her back to reality. I'll go from here,please do pray for me I really need this job okay? Tiff wished her luck as she walked into the office. Good morning Miss Brown a young man said. Please have a seat. Good morning sir,Jessie replied as she sat. They talked for a while after which she handed over her credentials to him. Zack read from the files that she studied Business administration so she could obviously handle the post of a secretary he said. He told Jessie to come back tomorrow as she would resume work by 8am. Zack phoned Michael to inform him about the new secretary and he even chipped in the fact that she Was prettier than Gwen the former secretary. Fine Zack,I'll see her tomorrow he said. Jessie was really excited.she headed to Tiff's boutique and told her the good news. Tiff was really happy and had more reasons to truly believe that Zack was a nice guy. Zack called her to tell her that her friend got the job. She thanked Zack so much but he said that wasn't necessary. She smiled all through the conversation as they were talking. What a sweet guy she thought. Tiffany offered to give Jessie some clothes but she declined the offer saying she still possessed some nice clothes. When they got home they told aunt all about it and she prayed to God to express her gratitude. Jessie prepared everything she needed for work that night as she couldn't afford to be late on her first day. It was already 6 45 am when she woke up. She made breakfast for everyone and woke them all up. They had breakfast and she headed to the bathroom afterwards .Tiffany got her ready for work,styled her hair into a pony tail and gave a her light make up which gave her a nice look. She bade them goodbye and headed to work as it was already getting to 8am. Michael drove off to work as he wanted to see the girl Zack was hyping who seemed to be prettier than Gwen. It wasn't like he was interested in her anyway. Jessie got to the building and saw Michael stepping out of his car. What a wonderful opportunity to revenge she thought to herself. She walked in his direction and then stepped on him and tried walking away but Michael pulled her back and sternly asked for an apology but she brought up the incident where he had done the same to her and then it crossed his mind that she was the same lady. He was still in thoughts when Jessie walked out congratulating herself on a job well done. He said to himself:"she looks prettier today "but scoffed after he said to no one in particular:"women are opportunists ". He came behind her . As Jessie walked into the building all employees rose to their feet greeting "good morning " "good morning sir". She knew there was no way they were referring to her so she turned around only to see Michael. She was shocked. Zack arrived and introduced her to him. She was shocked to learn that Michael Smith the man she was rude to at every opportunity was the man she was going to be submissive to as her her.She stood with mouth agape while Michael said:"this rude lady is the new secretary? That can't her.She may be prettier than Gwen but she's more likely to be more of a silly and crazy woman. I can't risk having her work here" then he walked into his office. Jessie couldn't believe that she ruined the opportunity of working in a nice company and earning enough to support Tiff with the expenses. She immediately phoned Tiffany and told her of the situation. She rushed down to the office and pleaded with Zack to help them out. Zack told her to return tomorrow as he would try speaking to him. They both left. Zack went over to Michael pleading with him to forgive Jessica as he loved her bestfriend tiffany and didn't want to lose her. Michael laughed at him after hearing that. Michael remembered he still had to teach the so called Jessica a lesson and there was possibly no way he could do that if she wasn't there so he reconsidered her and decided to give her another chance .The next morning Jessie got to the bus stop but noticed a traffic jam so she decided to trek to work. She saw Michael sitting comfortably in his car. She thought he wasn't going to to offer her a lift after all she had pestered him so much but he did. He called her back and asked her to enter the car. She was surprised but happy too at least she'll be excused if she arrives late at work because she came along with the boss. As she was about stepping into the car, Michael moved drive a little bit forward causing her to to lose balance. She fell landing on her butt.it was quite painful. She stood up shouting at him. She sure knew it was a deliberate act which it was but Michael gave quite a good excuse for going that,he said a car behind him signalled him to move forward so he could drive out . She stepped into the car still furious at him. Michael was happy deep down. She promised herself she was going to get him back for that. She was lost in thoughts so she forgot to put on the seat belts and as he reached a lot hole he had to push her backwards else she would have hit her head against the car.He had to pull her back by unintentionally touching her br***ts. She flared up and tried to snap him but he stopped her by holding her hand and then explained to her everything. If he had not done that she would have sustained a head injury. She apologised to him but didn't thank him. She got outta the car and walked into the company. "What an ungrateful lady,fool!!! He said. She couldn't even show appreciation for my saving her. I sure do hate proud ladies he said hissing. As she got inside,Zack approached her with a stern face,She was really late to work. He was about questioning her when Michael stepped in and said:"She's with me". Everyone was quite surprised with Mr Grumpy's new attitude. He was known commonly as Mr Grumpy at work because he always put on a stern face. He hardly smiled unless he was with Zack. They've never seen him vouch for any employee like that so they were astonished. Michael went in for a business meeting with other board members while Jessie handled other things. Tiffany was thinking about Zack. She never thought someone who she bumped into could mean so much to her and also help her out. Just as she raised her eyes up she saw Zack. At first she thought it was her imagination so she walked away but he pulled her back that was when she realised it was really happening. They sat down together and talked for a while after which he treated her to lunch. Mr Smith thought of finding a good wife for his favourite son Michael. He couldn't care less for Henry as he had chosen to tread on a foolish path. He really wanted the best for Mike so he talked to his old business friend who had a daughter named Natasha. He reasoned Michael could possibly pick interest in her. Michael came into his office after meeting with the board members and asked Jessie for a cup of coffee. Jessie intentionally made the coffee too hot and added excess sugar to it. She handed it over to him. He didn't suspect she was up to mischief so he drank it innocently. It burnt his tongue as he screamed in pain and ran into the bathroom. Jessie was happy she got what she wanted. Henry barged into Michael's office and Zack wasn't even around. Jessica walked up to him and queried him but Henry stared at her pretty face and body. He was known to be a flirt. He tried getting close to her by wrapping his hands around her waist. Jessie was struggling to break free from him but all to no avail. No employee could utter a word to him for fear of losing their job after all he was Michael's younger brother. Michael came in only to see his brother forcing himself on Jessie. He gave him a hard punch and asked security to throw him out of the building. He apologised to Jessie who was sweating panting nervously. He asked her to move into his office so that he would protect her and be sure she won't pull any tricks on him again. Zack came back and was informed of what happened, Michael was really mad at him for leaving like that."What if Henry had done something bad to her. Huh"." Relax Mike,You got there on time. Why are you so worried please chill." Zack said. All through the time Jessie was staring at Michael but when he looked up she concentrated on her work. Michael looked up and stared at her when she went to get a glass of water. "She really had a pretty face and her curves were attractive " he said to himself. She found him staring at her and asked if he wanted a glass of water too but he said no so she shrugged and went back to her seat. She wrote an apology letter to him but when she was about slipping it into a file of his he apprehended her and asked what it was she was hiding. He took it from her and read. It wasn't really a big deal after all,She just wanted to apologise. He smiled broadly revealing his nice set of white teeth and walked away. For the first time she felt butterflies in her stomach for him. She smiled. Michael invited Zack over for dinner at his house as his father was inviting his friend who was coming along with his daughter Natasha to meet Michael. Everyone was waiting for them. They walked in with Zack in front and Michael behind on a phone call. He was on a blue suit and opened some buttons on his shirt which exposed his muscular chest. Tasha really loved his looks and to crown it all he was the C E O of Beecroft Estates. Michael noticed Natasha wasn't as pretty as his secretary Jessie... At least she was okay and besides she was the executive manager of the firm she worked in so she wasn't going to be much of an opportunist like other ladies he thought. There was further introduction at the dinner table as they all ate and retired to their various homes. Henry really likes what he saw at Michael's office. His secretary was so pretty and he wondered how Michael could concentrate on work with her around . He decided he wanted her and would go to any lengths to have her in his arms. The next day Tasha decided to visit Michael at work. She got to his office and found no one there. She saw two desks beautifully positioned adjacent to each other and reasoned it was Zack' s and Michael's . As she was about leaving,Jessie walked in. She asked her what she was doing in Michael's office. "If you have an appointment with him then you can wait outside ma'am " she said. Tasha sternly said "I'm his fiancee ,You have no right to kick me out understood?" Jessie apologised to her as she was unaware. "You can take my seat" Jessie said innocently. "Your seat?" Tasha asked. She didn't realise the secretary shared the same office with Michael. She asked Jessie where Zack' s office was and then she told her. Tasha stared closely at Jessie with dismay and realised she was much prettier but kind. She had a nice skin and a nice body physique too. Even though Jessica wasn't looking as sophisticated as Tasha she was more attractive. This irritated Tasha and she decided she was going to do all she could to stop her from sharing the same office with Michael as she didn't want anything getting in her way of having Michael .Jessie stepped out to get her a cup of coffee but before she could return,Michael was already there. Natasha lied to him about his secretary being rude to her. She cooked up stories about her but Jessie innocently denied and stood by the fact that Tasha was accusing her wrongly . Michael asked Jessie to apologise to Tasha. For some reason Michael still couldn't believe Jessie could do that but he waved it off though. Michael had lots of meetings that day which meant more work for Jessica. They both worked till late 9pm so he offered her a ride home. On their way home Jessie dozed off as she was so exhausted, Michael looked at her and smiled. When he arrived at her house he opened the door but her belt was stuck. He tried to get it out which made their faces come closer. Their lips were close and the moment was right. Michael came close enough to kiss her but suddenly stopped. He finally got the belt out and bade her good bye while she wished him a good night rest. On his way home, Michael thought about what it would have seemed like if he kissed miss Brown but he chose to left side the issue. Jessica narrated everything to tiffany and tiff told her that maybe it was because she wasn't comfortable with having her around Michael. It seemed she was jealous or something. "Jealous?" Jessie asked. "She was looking sophisticated and very pretty too so why would she be jealous of me" Jessie said. Tiffany had no answer to that. Tiffany had started a relationship with Zack. They were such a lovely couple and Jessie often teased her at times about being on call with him at every moment. She told Zack about what Jessie told her and he was really surprised at hearing that because he overheard Jessie apologise to Tasha even though he didn't know what exactly she apologised about. That meant she wasn't being rude to Tasha. He chose not to tell Michael so they both decided to find out what she was up to. Michael got a call saying he was invited as one of the nominees for best business man of the year at Lagos state. He decided to bring Jessie along as he really wanted to know her more. The next day at work,he told miss Brown about the trip and lied to her that it was mandatory for secretaries to be there with their boss. They were to embark on the trip the next day. Natasha visited the office the next day but couldn't find either Michael or his secretary,she asked an employee of their whereabouts as she was certain that they were together. The employee told her that they went to get the necessary files and fill in some forms for their trip tomorrow. "Trip?" She asked. "Yes ma'am " the employee answered. He told her about the trip so she thanked him and left. She got home and thought about what she was told. "What if Michael had started picking interest in Jessica? Did he want to be alone with her so bad that he lied to me?" These thoughts ran through her mind so then she decided she was going to attend the party too. She promised herself that she was going to ruin Jessica before Michael so he would hate her. When they got back, Michael gave Jessica a ride home as it was already dark. He pecked her as he wished her good night. She only blushed and walked in. Michael stared at her till she was out of sight then he drove home. He never believed for once that he would love his secretary. He hardly gave people rides on his cars especially his workers but there was something different about Jessie. He had fallen for her. Jessie told tiff about the trip and Michael's new attitude towards her recently. It was sudden so she really didn't believe he was that genuine but tiffany adviced her to give him a chance so she decided to. She packed few of her things as it was only for a week. Natasha thought of different ideas to ruin Jessica and suddenly remembered the incident that Mike narrated to her of his brother trying to force himself on Miss Brown. This issue came up when Tasha asked him why he wasn't in good terms with Henry. She decided she was going to need Henry's help and decided to visit him the next day. It was 10 am on Monday when Michael drove into Jessica's house to pick her up. Tiff exchanged pleasantries with him and so did aunt Becky after which they helped Jessie put her things in the car. Tasha arrived at Michael's house and met Henry in the swimming pool. She wasn't really in a good mood so she walked over to him and went straight to the point . She told him about her plan to help him get Jessie in return of him helping her to separate Michael and she. Henry reasoned and found out it was of benefit to him after all it meant getting the pretty girl. They planned everything. Natasha decided to go over to the party while he stays and creates bad pictures of Jessie in Mr Smith's eyes. Tasha knew Michael wouldn't get suspicious if he saw her at the party as she too was a business woman. Michael and Jessie arrived late and other suites were already occupied but luckily they found one and had to share it. Jessica divided the bed into two with a pillow ,arranged her things and then went out for dinner with him. Zack and tiff decided that since Michael wasn't around it was a good time to find out what Natasha was up to but unknown to them ,she had travelled to Lagos too for the party. They went over to her office to see her but found out she wasn't around and won't be returning anytime soon as she travelled. It happened to be that she told her boss that she was going to see her ill mother in the village and get her medical attention and would be away for a week. Zack wondered why that sounded strange. As they were about walking out tiffany remembered Jessie tell her that the party was for a week. She reminded Zack of that so he walked up to an employee who stayed besides Tasha' s office and asked her if she knew about her specific whereabouts. The lady told them she heard Tasha talking about going to the airport and that it was urgent she get there tonight. They thanked her and left. That meant that she was really at the party. They thought of a way to sabotage her. Zack suggested they get a picture of her having fun at the party and showing it to her boss so he'd realize she lied to him. That meant her going over to Lagos. There was a masque party that day but Jessie didn't have a befitting dress for the event so Michael took her shopping. He got a lovely gown for her and a nice tuxedo for himself. They got back home and Michael called a make up artist to give Jessie a beautiful look on her face. They all got ready for the party. Michael was astonished when he saw Jessica looking stunning in the dress. She was looking very gorgeous and he couldn't contend it. He went over to her and whispered to her ears "You look prettier than an angel ". Jessie blushed and smiled broadly. Michael led her out in his arms as they wore their masks. Tiffany realized it was a mask party and she was at an advantage. She got to the party in her gown and was looking pretty too. She sat waiting for Tasha to make a funny move but she didn't ordinarily. She sat staring at Michael. She spiked Jessica's drink but neither she not Michael was aware of that. Jessica felt uncomfortable as she thought some strange eyes were constantly on her and Michael too so she told Michael. He walked over to the lady staring at them and asked her if she was alone. Tasha stood from her seat and changed her voice saying "No I'm here with my husband,he'll be angry if he sees us together so please excuse me". Michael stopped her from walking away. He asked her"if you were here with your husband then why you staring at me with so much lust". Tasha was speechless so she tried walking away but Michael pulled her back forcefully and her mask fell and so did her bracelet but she picked it up and ran away. "That was a close csll" Tasha said. But her mission wasn't complete she still needed to ruin Jessie so she changed into another dress,a new mask and wore her bracelet. She walked over to Michael and removed her mask. She told Michael that her boss forced her into coming as someone needed to represent their firm. Michael felt that something was off. She seemed nervous,and wait! She wore the same bracelet. Michael complimented Tasha 's bracelet and asked if it was hers. She answered positively as she didn't realise Michael had seen it fall off her hand. She decided to change the topic by asking Michael why he didn't tell her he was coming for the party. while doing this, tiffany spiked her orange juice with alcohol . She was told Natasha never took alcohol as it always intoxicated her. She asked the bar man to serve her the juice when ever she came asking for a drink. Soon after, the main party began. Michael went over to dance with Jessie but Tasha interrupted. She begged Michael to dance with her so he had to but all the while his eyes were on Jessica. Tasha felt dry so she went to get a drink . The bar man served her the spiked drink. She became intoxicated few minutes later and started dancing like a goose who was just set free. Michael was shocked but it was a job well done for tiffany so she took pictures of her and videos too and sent them to Zack. Michael took Tasha to his room and left her there with Jessie even after she begged Michael to stay there with her. For some reason he didn't feel comfortable with her as when he was with Jessie so he left the room. Tiffany boarded the next flight back to Abuja. Zack took the proofs to Tasha' s boss. He told her that he was lied to. Tasha went to have fun and party but told him she was going to see her ill mom in the village. He was really shocked to hear that. He phoned Tasha immediately and threatened to fire her if she didn't come back immediately. Tasha didn't want to lose her job so she decided to come back. The next morning she told Michael that her boss asked her to come back as she was urgently needed so she left. When Tasha got back to Abuja she went to see Henry. She told him:" Jessie should enjoy herself for few more days as these few days were going to be her last days of happiness with Michael as I am going to ruin her ". Henry told Tasha his idea:" I think we should accuse her of being psycho. We should prove that she has kleptomania with real evidence. This will make Michael fire her as he would be hurt for ever trusting her". Tasha concurred and they agreed to execute the plan when they got back. During the free time they had,they made false documents which proved that and bribed the doctor too. After Michael and Jessie got back, the weather was so cloudy that it seemed the world was going to be destroyed with rain again. Jessie sat down thinking about tiffany,her aunt and suddenly she thought of Michael and her love for him. She was already in love him but wondered if he truly loved her or was just pretending. Suddenly lightning struck and thunder bolts were heard. Jessie became scared and ran to Michael and hugged him. The lights went off unexpectedly with them hugging. Only the moon shone light on their room. Michael kissed Jessica. It was already raining heavily. His hands caressed her hips and touched her gently. He laid her on the bed and kissed her neck and ear lobes while caressing her breasts. Jessie moaned softly. The lights came back which helped return Jessie back to her reasonable state of mind. She stopped Michael and stood up leaving Michael on the bed. Michael apologised and went over to check some files. All through the time he was thinking of her and what had just happened. He only smiled as he couldn't even concentrate. Jessie couldn't even sleep. She kept rolling on the bed and eventually locked eyes with Michael who was also laying on the bed too. She shyly looked away. The next morning when she woke up she found herself cuddled in Michael's arms. She woke Michael up and scolded him in anger. She made Michael realise that what happened between them was a mistake and that it gave him no reason to cuddle her like that. Michael interrupted her . He said:" you were so cold last night and you embraced me by yourself. I didn't force you to. I only felt empathetic towards you which was why i wrapped you in my arms and besides what happened between us wasn't a mistake as you consented to it too and you enjoyed it too so don't pin everything on me". Jessica realized that Michael was right as she remembered embracing him later when she felt cold. She also enjoyed kissing Michael so she should not have brought the issue up. She apologised to Michael who gave a condition for forgiving her. " and what is that "? Jessie asked. " join me for a dip in the pool". Jessie couldn't even say no to him so it was set for evening. She was really nervous as she didn't feel comfortable in wearing showy clothes like bikinis. She decided to muster up courage and get there before Michael. At the set time? Everyone present were shocked as they stared in amazement at Michael as he walked in with his beautiful lover. They were both looking magnificent as they wore matching outfits. It was a pretty sight to behold. Many reporters and news channels had their eyes on them. The winner of best business of the year was announced and it happened to be Michael. He was so joyous and so was Jessie. He brought Jessie up to the stage and introduced her as his lover. He complimented her qualities and beauty. The occasion was indeed joyful. Natasha got to hear of that and became embittered towards Jessica. She vowed to destroy her. The next day on their arrival, they were being congratulated by everyone but that was a welcome to hell unknown to Jessie . After work that day,they all went home. Michael wanted to take Jessie out for dinner but she declined as she said she wanted to prepare dinner for aunt too since tiffany wasn't around. Michael went home then. He went to freshen up and then Henry snuck into his room and stole the office keys. He replaced them with a similar bunch of keys. Henry left for Michael's office and when he got in he stole an endorsement file worth 2.5 million and left. Only Zack,Jessie and Mike had access to those keys but Zack wasn't around as he went to kaduna with tiff to introduce her to his parents as the woman he loved. This left Jessica in a mess. Henry gave Tasha the good news and they both rejoiced as it meant a successful plan. The next morning at work, Michael came in first as he had an early presentation at work with the "stolen" file. He searched his drawer where he kept it but couldn't find it. He searched his desk, Jessica's too but didn't find it. He was shocked because his company was protected heavily with many advanced technologies especially his office and that of Zack so no one could easily break in and besides there was no sign of such. Jessie arrived later and wished Michael a good morning. Michael didn't respond to the greeting as he was so engulfed in finding the file . He asked Jessie about the file but she denied knowing anything about it. Michael was beginning to get angry. He said to her:" you are the only one with access into this office right now as Zack is out of town . The office is protected with lots of high tech products which means no one broke in but someone with access entered there and stole the file ". Jessie said :"yes, you're right about all that but it doesn't mean I took it. I mean why would I want to do such or don't you trust me?" Michael replied:" so the file developed legs of it own and walked away then and walked away right? Just forget it". He walked out leaving Jessie alone in topsy turvy. Tasha was eavesdropping on their conversation "this will be the perfect time to get closer to him" she said. She followed Michael and tried calming him down. She took him to a bar where he took a glass of champagne to cool off. After he was a lil bit calm, Jessie sweetly asked him what happened and he narrated everything to her. She said " I know you're angry at her mine but you need to think straight. Being angry like this won't help matters neither is it good for you. So what if she took the file? She must have her reasons. Maybe she wanted to use the money urgently and couldn't tell you about it". Michael stood up in anger at hearing that and he said:"I know Jessie and she would never do that okay? I trust her". Tasha replied:"trust is good but when it becomes blinding it is dangerous. Did you think she actually loved you for nothing? She has gotten close to you and believes you'll never suspect her or accuse her of committing such crime. Show her you're not a naive man honey ". Michael removed her hand from his and walked out. Tasha said to herself:" you might have this trust in her but it won't last. Definitely not on my watch. I still need to pull more tricks and you'll be mine". She laughed and left. Tasha decided to carry out plan B of her scheme. She called Henry and they agreed to meet at a point to discuss it effectively. They decided that for Michael to lose trust in Jessie their plan needed to be a bomb. Henry came home that day and hacked into Michael's phone then used it to send Tasha a message saying:" I'm sorry for shouting at you today. I was just really angry. Please come to the office so we can put heads together to find the culprit. Jessie had just finished eating when she received the message. She read it and brightened up. She felt happy and relieved that Michael trusted her afterall. Tasha called Michael that night and told him she had come up with a full proof plan to apprehend the culprit and they needed to be at the office. Michael along with his father left home to meet Tasha and all go together. Tasha already sent Henry ahead of them to the office. When he got there he scattered files everywhere on the floor and left to hide. Jessica got to the office and saw files scattered everywhere so she started arranging them,picking the files up one by one. As she was picking the files, Michael arrived with everyone. He was shocked to the marrows at what he saw. Jessie saw Michael and was about talking to him when Tasha gave her a hard slap across the face. Before she could speak up,Michael interrupted her saying:" I can't believe this,it happened to be you who was the culprit and I trusted you blindly that I refused to believe the truth even when I saw it". Jessie was already in tears. She told Michael that she received a text from him asking her to come to the office so they could put heads together and figure out who the culprit was. Michael denied sending her a message ,he said:" I never sent you a message but if you're so certain about that then show me ". Unknown to Jessie, Henry snuck out of his hiding place when she was arranging the files and deleted the message. Jessie searched for the message in her phone but couldn't find it. She was shocked and then it became clear to her that she was set up and it couldn't be anyone else if not Tasha. Mr Smith broke the silence " my son here really loved you and he blindly trusted you. I'm so glad Natasha was here to free him from your bondage and that is why my son Michael will marry her so that she'll save him from people like you in the future". He led Michael out by the hand leaving Tasha behind behind. She walked up to Jessie who was heartbroken and said: "Michael had always belonged to me and it was so foolish of you to try separating us now you'll have to suffer for your actions ". Jessie gave her a hard slap across her face and said :" his love for me is true and I believe it'll triumph over your evil" . Tasha walked out angrily. Zack and tiff came back the next day from kaduna. He went to the office to see his pal but when he got there, he didn't see Jessie so he decided to tease him:" Mike, where's our wife? I don't see her anywhere " and he laughed. Michael kept mute which meant something was amiss so Zack asked him what was wrong and then everything was narrated to him. Zack was shocked. He told Michael:"I thought you loved her Mike?" " I did " Michael responded. " then why did you lose your trust in her that easily? Sometimes what we think to be facts are lies. Did you even give her a chance to explain? Jessie is the only woman you've loved like this and I won't let her slip away from your life". Michael didn't even realise when a tear dropped, he finally spoke up after being quiet:" she stole from me bro and I caught her in the act. Why would she be in the office so late with files scattered all over?" Do you think I'm not hurt? I am but I find it difficult to forgive her for betraying my trust in her". Zack replied:" well, have you checked the office's cctv footage?" That was when it crossed Michael's mind so they both went together check. When they got there, they searched the videos but didn't find anything related to the incident. It was not there. Michael told Zack:"they were tampered with and only someone with access to those keys could do this. You were out of town,I didn't do it so it was Jessie,maybe. I don't know what to believe anymore " he said sitting down. Zack remembered the encounters he had with Tasha and decided to tell Michael. He said:" Mike you need to know something, when Tasha visited you for the first time at the office, she lied about Jessie being rude to her. I know this because I was in my office and I overheard the conversations. She also lied to her boss of going to see her aged sick mother just so she could go to the party and separate you and Jessie. She lied to you about her boss wanting her to be there and was the lady who stared at you that day wearing the same bracelet". All these made little sense to Michael as the part of the bracelet was quite true but he didn't know what to believe again. He had never doubted Zack for any reason as had never given him a reason to. He was always loyal. Zack left Michael with the words:" please do not let anger block you from seeing reality. Natasha could also be up to something funny you never know. Give love a chance and this time, trust it completely ". When Zack left Michael pondered over his words and decided to investigate it. He needed to know the truth about Tasha and fast. Abandoned Devil Episode 12 Michael got home that day feeling restless, he looked at the picture frame on his bed side. It was the the picture he took with Jessie on the day he won the award. He opened the drawer as he sat down opposite the mirror bringing out the engagement ring he had bought earlier on and stared at it for a while. It was as if he saw a reflection of his speaking to him:" you need to fight for your love. Its all you've got. Love never fails. "He stood to lay down on the bed when he heard footsteps so he went to check who it was and found out it was Henry on a phone call. He hisses and left for his room but paused when he heard him say:"that plan was soundproof, they don't even talk to each other right now so I'll play my cards well and get her for myself. He saved her in the office then but won't be able to save her now. We can still pull this off Tee". He laughed. He didn't know Michael would be back that early. Michael was surprised. He phoned Zack and asked him to come over. When Zack arrived, he told him of what he overheard Henry discuss with a lady named tee. He said:" what lady will want to help Henry destroy another lady. That means the so called tee doesn't like him". Zack then said :" maybe they're working together to accomplish a mission with the same interests. You need to get your hands on that number so that we can find out who it was he was on call with as Henry cannot be trusted ". Henry went in to have a bath and left his phone on the bed. Michael snuck in whole Zack stood at the bathroom door to alert him on anything. Michael copied the number saved as "Tee" down and they both left. Michael got to the room and dialed the number and Natasha picked up . She only said hello and mike recognised it could be her. Zack decided to play her so he took the phone and said:" this is mr Emmanuel from Abuja's courier service, a parcel was sent in for a miss Natasha so I'm i on with the right person? Tasha said yes at first . Tasha then realized that that number was private and only henry and few other people had access to it so she immediately said no and hung up. Michael then realized it was indeed Tasha and they were working as accomplices. He needed to expose her in front of his dad so that he would know Tasha was evil. Jessie was about heading out to confront Tasha and record it so she could present it as evidence to prove her innocence when Zack and Michael arrived at her house. Michael knelt down and apologised to Jessie with tears in his eyes. He was feeling remorseful and Jessie could see that. She couldn't blame him either for what happened so she helped him up and hugged him. Zack told tiff and Jessie about what they just found out about Tasha. It meant she was an accomplice of Henry's . They decided to work together and expose her openly once and for all. They set a date to meet her and used Jessie as bait. She was to meet Natasha and try to make her jealous with pictures of her and Michael in the presence of his dad so he could see her for who she really was. Jessie was really happy that she was back together with Michael and promised she was going to make sure she ruined Henry and Tasha 's evil plan. They all went out for dinner to discuss more on what to do next. Jessie got up to the stage and Michael knelt on a knee and bringing out the ring, he said to her:" miss Jessica Brown,You are one of the few things that I've cherished so much. When we got to know each other newly, all odds were against us but not withstanding,we came together for a reason. You are my heart throb and i can't imagine life without you. I love you so please Will You Marry me? Jessie didn't see that coming. She replied in tears:" i always viewed you as a devil due to your arrogance and grumpy behaviour. You were very rude to me and had no friends. You were just like a abandoned devil to me but now you're the most important thing in my life so yes I'll marry you and i love you too .
